Our story
Speechling is a Speech Pathology practice founded by Amelia Fox in 2022. Our team helps people with communication and swallowing difficulties. We provide Speech Pathology services to people living in the Greater Sydney area.
The name
Hatchling. Seedling. Speechling. These are small things but they do not stay small.
Speechling starts small with clients and, step by step, helps clients grow in their capacity for better communication and swallowing.

Amelia Fox
PRINCIPAL SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
Amelia has close to 10 years of experience, working in both clinic-based and mobile private practices and leads Speechling. She completed her Bachelor of Applied Science — Speech Pathology, at the University of Sydney.
Amelia enjoys connecting with people and helping others. When she is not being a Speech Pathologist, she likes going for long walks, listening to music and visiting art galleries.
She grew up in the Blue Mountains and now lives in the Parramatta area. She has worked all across Greater Western Sydney.
Amelia is a member of Speech Pathology Australia and is recognised as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist by the association.
Mira Thomas
SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
Mira completed her Master’s in Speech Pathology at the University of Sydney, following her move from Canada. She has a strong passion for helping people improve their communication skills in ways that are practical for everyday life.
Mira tailors her therapy for each client, to build confidence in their communication and advocate for themselves in their daily lives. She finds immense joy in seeing her clients achieve milestones that make a real difference to their independence and well-being.
Outside of work, Mira enjoys singing, being creative, and exploring beaches.
Mira is a member of Speech Pathology Australia.
